We have been asked a few times recently “who are the people who organise the NHS / Bolton Council Triathlon”  Well you may be surprised to find out that we are not full time event organisers!  Instead we are the Get Active team.  The Get Active team are part of the Public Health Department within Bolton Council.

Our day jobs involve encouraging and supporting the people of Bolton to become more active and we develop and support a wide variety of programmes and activities across the town. If you would like to take part in the 2013 NHS Fun Tri as part of a relay team, but need to recruit fellow team members, help is available. On the downloads section of the website you will find posters, web banners even QR codes. These are free to download and use in your workplace to recruit potential team members.

The NHS Tri Team have received a couple of questions regarding the employment status for potential competitors. As we are all aware there have been some big changes to the NHS over the past couple of years and these continue into 2013. In order to make the entry criteria straight forward we are accepting entries for the event  from anyone who was employed by the NHS on 1st January 2013.
